Games & Gifts Galore: Event Description

Periodically, Games & Gifts Galore staff runs One-Shot Roleplaying Adventure sessions. These roleplaying sessions usually take place either to fill the spot of a regularly scheduled Roleplaying session that had to be cancelled, or for special events such as Worldwide D&D Game Day, or the release of exciting new roleplaying systems. One-shot adventures vary from many different roleplaying systems including (but not limited to) D&D, World of Darkness, Tunnels & Trolls, Are You a Werewolf?, When Darkness Comes, Aces & Eights, and more! At these one-shot events, players are provided with everything they need to play in a roleplaying session of the predetermined amount of time; players are encouraged to attend one-shot roleplaying sessions, as it may be their first and only encounter with a new and different roleplaying system that they may come to enjoy more than the roleplaying system(s) they normally use.

Cost: $5.00

Other Requirements:

Depending on the adventure, attendance may be limited. In other cases, Games & Gifts Galore staff will determine what one-shot adventure to run after seeing what the attendance turns out to be.
Come prepared with a pencil and your imagination; everything else will be provided for you.

When are upcoming One-shots scheduled?

Sunday, April 27th, 2008 @ 3:00pm-5:00pm

Rewards:
- All participants will receive whatever roleplaying materials that they need to play in this particular One-Shot, such as character sheets, rules guides, etc.; occasionally, players will even receive promotional dice, miniature figures, and adventure booklets!
- All participants will receive a free snack and a free drink at the beginning of the adventure session.
- Don't forget to stay until the end, as a select few One-Shot sessions will end with one random player being awarded a bonus prize, such as a complementary roleplaying manual for the roleplaying system they just learned!

About Games & Gifts Galore

Games & Gifts Galore is first and foremost a gaming/hobby/entertainment store, but is also a pioneer as a facility for promoting educational ideals through entertainment. Founded in 2006 by Dov Frier, a New York State certified teacher of American History in Lawrence School District, Games & Gifts Galore has been striving unwaveringly to bring the educational foundations of hobby gaming to mainstream audiences through our many events and programs such as our revolutionary Game Camp program, which you can learn more about here on our website. We also offer a discount to students who bring in their most recent Report Card with all A's and B's, as an incentive for our regular customers to always remember to put schoolwork first and gaming second. Games & Gifts Galore has sent representatives to speak about the educational benefits of games at schools and Boy Scout events, and has sent Gift Certificate donations to schools and other educational organizations in the past; For the near future, we have plans for a new fundraising partnership program to help support local school groups, starting in the Fall of 2008.

Games & Gifts Galore hosts weekly tournaments on many different game systems, as well as hosting occasional Premier-Level events for some of those game systems. Games & Gifts Galore, in addition to carrying a wide variety of board games, collectible card and miniature games, and various accessories, also carries a huge supply of used media, including used DVDs, VHS tapes, BetaMax tapes, music CDs, PC games, various video game consoles and games, back-issue comic books, novels, and more. We buy and resell collections of all of these items and more, for store credit or cash. Call or bring in your collection, or first check our Trade-In page for more details. We do not accept adult films or other adult entertainment items.

Games & Gifts Galore is conveniently located at 3937 Merrick Road in Seaford, NY, in the Seaford Cinemas complex, between restaurants The Brown Osprey and Cara Mia Due.
