Games & Gifts Galore: Event Description

Games & Gifts Galore's Game of the Week promotion is a great way to learn new games (usually board games) and save with great deals! Each week, the Game of the Week will be announced in that week's newsletter, as well as on this webpage and in-store on the information boards; then, customers will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:

All week long, come in for free demonstrations of the Game of the Week, with Games & Gifts Galore's staff and other customers like you.

If you play through a full demo of the game with us, you are entitled to 10% Off your purchase of the game (that day only; limit 1 per customer per day).

Wednesdays at 6:00PM, come in to play in the Game of the Week Tournament, where you can win your very own free copy of the Game of the Week!

The Game of the Week for May 15-21, 2008 is: Killer Bunnies, the Quest for the Magic Carrot, by Playroom Entertainment. All in-stock versions of Killer Bunnies and Killer Bunnies expansions are qualifiable for the 10% discount if you play a demo of Killer Bunnies with us (limit 1 use of discount per customer per day still applies). The tournament on Wednesday will have a $5 Entry Fee, and prizes will be awarded based on attendance.

About Games & Gifts Galore

Games & Gifts Galore is first and foremost a gaming/hobby/entertainment store, but is also a pioneer as a facility for promoting educational ideals through entertainment. Founded in 2006 by Dov Frier, a New York State certified teacher of American History in Lawrence School District, Games & Gifts Galore has been striving unwaveringly to bring the educational foundations of hobby gaming to mainstream audiences through our many events and programs such as our revolutionary Game Camp program, which you can learn more about here on our website. We also offer a discount to students who bring in their most recent Report Card with all A's and B's, as an incentive for our regular customers to always remember to put schoolwork first and gaming second. Games & Gifts Galore has sent representatives to speak about the educational benefits of games at schools and Boy Scout events, and has sent Gift Certificate donations to schools and other educational organizations in the past; For the near future, we have plans for a new fundraising partnership program to help support local school groups, starting in the Fall of 2008.

Games & Gifts Galore hosts weekly tournaments on many different game systems, as well as hosting occasional Premier-Level events for some of those game systems. There are several weekly Role-playing groups that meet in our store, as well. For more information on these events and others, see our calendar and event pages.

Games & Gifts Galore, in addition to carrying a wide variety of board games, collectible card and miniature games, and various accessories, also carries a huge supply of used media, including used DVDs, VHS tapes, BetaMax tapes, music CDs, PC games, various video game consoles and games, back-issue comic books, novels, and more. We buy and resell collections of all of these items and more, for store credit or cash. Call or bring in your collection, or first check our Trade-In page for more details. We do not accept adult films or other adult entertainment items.
